The Residence Life team is happy to have you with us on campus! Please review these important dates for students including Fall and Spring semesters, as well as important dates for room selection.
Housing Closure and Break Information
Friday, November 18: Thanksgiving Break. Students living in residence halls leave by 5 p.m. and halls re-open at Noon on Sunday, November 27. Students needing to stay past this time must have prior approval from their Community Coordinator. Fill out this form to notify your Community Coordinator.
Friday, December 9: last day of Finals. Students living in residence halls leave by 5 p.m. that same day. Students needing to stay past this time must have prior approval from their Community Coordinator. Fill out this form to notify your Community Coordinator.
Sunday, January 1: Residence Halls reopen at Noon. Jan term ends on January 24 at 5 p.m. and spring term begins on January 31. Students are not required to move out of their residence hall during this break.
Friday, March 10: S pring Break. Students living in residence halls leave by 5 p.m. and halls re-open at Noon on Sunday, March 20. Students needing to stay past this time must have prior approval from their Community Coordinator. Fill out this form to notify your Community Coordinator.
Wednesday, May 17: End of Year Closing. All students (except those living in the Hass Village on Grand) must move out 24 hours after their last final. The latest students may stay till is 5 p.m. on May 17. Students needing to stay past this time must have prior approval from their Community Coordinator. Fill out this form to notify your Community Coordinator.

- Monday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. (via zoom, link will be emailed)
- Tuesday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. (via zoom, link will be emailed)
December 1st: Hass Village on Grand application opens at 8:30 a.m.
February 1: Hass Village on Grand application closes at 5:00 p.m.
February 6: Hass Village on Grand rankings emailed
February 8: Hass Village on Grand Selection Night, 7:00-8:30 p.m., via Zoom (link will be emailed)
February 6: 2-Person Flats and 4-Person Flats/Roo Suites applications open at 8:30 a.m.
February 21: Roommate Matching Social, 7:00-9:00 p.m., Mabee Hall
March 1: 2-Person Flats application closes at 5:00 p.m.
March 3: 2-person Flats assignments completed by SLO Staff. Students will be notified via email.
March 10: 4-person Flats/Roo Suites applications close at 5:00 p.m.
March 20: 4-person Flats/Roo Suites rankings emailed
March 20: Traditional Hall Double Room application opens at 5:00 a.m.
March 28 and 29: 4-Person Flats/Roo Suites selection night, 5:30-7:00 p.m., Via Zoom (we will do both Flats the first night and the Suites the second)
March 30: Single Room application opens at 8:30 a.m.
April 7: Single Room application closes at 5:00 p.m.
April 13: Bryan Apartment selection for international students, Assignments made by SLO Staff (we will be in contact with them in regards to collecting information about roommates, room preferences, 等. )
April 12: Single Room assignments completed by SLO Staff. Students will be notified via email of their status
April 21: Traditional Hall Double Room applications close at 5:00 p.m. b>
